Fiona's 'Extraordinary' New Album

It's been six years, but the new Fiona Apple album is finally here. (Ok, so I downloaded the 'leaked' Jon Brion version a while ago when it first hit the internet, but now it's finally official). Most songs are slightly or very different from the originals, and the new song, Parting Gift, is a nice surprise.

Not that anyone reading this really cares, but I'm quite happy about Extraordinay Machine finally being released! Sucks that I missed the Virgin Megastore appearance....ugh!

U-BootMuseum in Hamburg

Here I am in August on the U-434 (a Russian sub) in Hamburg, Germany. We were a little late for the tour, so after we caught up, the guide told us we could go back through the rest of the sub on our own. Josua, Bettina, and I got a kick out of exploring the sub. You know how those Germans are with technology. Alarm! Schnell! Schnell!

Penn State Business School Dedication

The Smeal Business School at Penn State is open for 'business'! Fred, along with his partners at Robert AM Stern Architects, has worked on this project and the results are fantastic! It is one of the premier business school buildings in the country, and the largest academic building at Penn State. The equipment and technology are all state-of-the-art, and the students are already raving about the facilities. I am very proud of Fred!

We attended the dedication ceremony on Friday and had a blast. The food and decor were excellent, and the after-party was a blast.

Check out Smeal's website concerning the new building: http://www.smeal.psu.edu/building2/index.html
